May Update: Due to the constant rain events from December through the end of March, the Bradley Rd Bridge Project construction experienced significant delays. Each rain event filled the project site with feet of mud and debris which had to be removed prior to any progress being made. The result was 10-15 days of delay after each rain event.
The project has made good progress in the last 3 weeks. After all mud and debris was removed, the bottom was recompacted and tested, and the culvert has been assembled and placed with the other bridge components. For early May, the efforts are focused on concrete retaining walls and completing the bridge structure backfilling so that the road can be raised up to final grade.
We are currently working with the Contractor to open the road as soon as feasibly possible prior to project completion. The current estimates have the road opening in late May or early June, assuming no more further weather delays. Thank you.
June Update: An incident involving the Contractor breaking an exposed waterline and damaging work progress has delayed the opening of Bradley Road to the public into July. The bridge and retaining walls have been successfully placed. Final grading and compaction for the road placement must be completed again due to damage from the waterline break. We apologize for any additional inconveniences this causes.
Bradley Road is now open to the public.
