Erosion Control

Native Vegetation Seed Recommendations Memo.Ventura County encourages naturally occurring vegetation, as they have adapted to local environmental conditions, they generally require far less water, saving time and money. Native vegetation also does a better job of providing food and shelter for native wild animals than introduced plants. Native plants are the foundation of our natural ecosystems and protect biodiversity. The memo provides native seed vegetation recommendations to stabilize soil that is disturbed as a result of construction.
